Drywall work and stuff

We've been busy this week. The drywall guy FINALLY came this afternoon and finished the drywall, so now we're almost ready for painting. Adam got a plumber to finish up with the kitchen sink and the gas line for the range. He also got a big diningroom fixture up. Now, it's all a hurried clean-up before the party tomorrow. After the party, we'll have loads of other details: Painting, baseboards, windows, sliding glass door, kitchen appliances, new switchplates and other joys.

Yes, we're still working...

The tile is done, and Adam has installed a transition. This is all messy because he's grouted the gap (it will be all pretty soon).

He's also in process of installing our new dining room light.


Molly was home sick today, so that cut into the progress... we've finally heard from the Window installers... they come on Monday. Still waiting on drywall finisher, etc.

Adam did paint my office, though, so we'll be able to start moving garage and office stuff sometime soon. (Maybe after Monday...)

We're having a little open-house house-warming for the neighborhood and close by friends on Saturday. One challenge of that will be getting the house cleaned up in time! Still, things are moving, which is good. Looks like moving will occur around Thanksgiving...
