More house pics

Evolution... now removed door frame in hallway, put in drywall, filled in bathroom holes where the electric heaters were, ripped up more flooring... and got a dumpster. Of course, lots of non-visible things too. Also getting quotes on windows, doors and skylights.

Progress on the house

I'm so impressed with how much has been accomplished in 3 and a half days.

When we closed on the house, it was a very different place. Look how open it is now! We get estimates on windows and skylights today. COOL!

The edge of the hardwood

Other accomplishments today: tile removed from entry, wonderboard removed from underneath, vinyl removed from the bathroom, ceiling removed from the kitchen.

Amazing. Thanks to Chris, Ed and Adam for an amazing day.

A pleasant surprise

Hardwood under the vinyl and tile!

An unpleasant surprise

We've torn out walls and discovered why the walls were put up in the first place. The central beam that is holding up the house has twisted as it transitions to the kitchen. Ugh.

So, we looked at the beam on the other side of the fireplace and noticed that it is a little cracked... which led us to notice some repairs in the bedroom.
Oh, yeah.

Progress on the house to date

We've taken possession of the house and have started doing some of the remodeling work. Adam has removed 2 walls so far (one in the bathroom and one in the dining room), replaced all the locks, doorknobs and closet knobs, torn up the carpet and some flooring in the dining room, and taken electric wall heaters out of the wall. WOW!!! Here are pictures as of yesterday.
